The benefits of interactive 3D models for developers
An interactive building model is not a prettier picture of the project. It is a different way for the buyer to reach the apartment, and for the developer to reach data on interest.
From a list to a space
A conventional new-build sales page offers a table of units. An interactive model offers the building: the buyer rotates it, selects a floor, clicks a unit and continues to the floor plan and walkthrough. The difference is not cosmetic. In a table the buyer cannot see where the unit is, which way it faces or what sits above it; in the model they see it in three clicks.
Concrete benefits
- Project understanding: the buyer grasps the unit's position in the building, its orientation and its relationship to the surroundings without explanation.
- Qualified enquiries: each enquiry is tied to a specific unit; the salesperson knows what the buyer looked at.
- Less repetitive communication: questions about floor, orientation and floor areas are answered by the model.
- Up-to-date availability: unit statuses live on the platform, not in the salespeople's heads.
- Data on interest: which units buyers view most often and where they drop off.
- A more modern image: a digital presentation on the level of international projects.
- A basis for upgrades: the same model serves the walkthroughs, the configurator and the buyer portal.
What the model needs in order to work
Two conditions: a properly prepared architectural 3D model (or documentation from which one can be built) and well-organised unit data. The model must be optimised for the web, in geometry, textures and loading, and connected to the data so that statuses and information are always current.
Where the limits are
The model does not sell on its own. The sales team, prices, terms and location remain decisive. The model removes obstacles to understanding and collects enquiries with better context. Its effect on sales depends on the project, so measure it with concrete indicators: the number of relevant enquiries, handling time, use of viewings.
